David A Oblon

David A Oblon is a classic trial lawyer, I appear in courthouses in Virginia multiple times a week and have done so for over two decades. I resolve disputes. My cases have ranged — on the civil law side — from complex litigation involving large companies down to small breach of contract actions, and — on the criminal law side — from murder down to reckless driving.

I can be seen arguing an appeal before the Supreme Court of Virginia for one of the nation’s largest companies in a civil tax case one day, defending a first-offense DUI case in the General District Court the next, and defending a person facing life in prison on a serious felony in the Circuit Court the next.

Some of my cases have attracted nationwide attention; most are relatively quiet. I have been interviewed by networks such as FOX News and CNN almost 100 times.

My hard work has been recognized. I have been called one of the Washington, D.C. area’s “Best Lawyers” by Washingtonian magazine (2015) and a “Power Player” (2013) and “Center of Influence” (2016) by Smart CEO magazine, and one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine (2014), among other superlatives.

If you need to resolve a dispute through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, I’m your man.

I am a founder and manager of the law firm Albo & Oblon. We have offices in Arlington, Fairfax, and Staunton. Most of our cases fall in the following areas:
